• B.I.G.R.I.P.

Via RCRDLBL.com – This is when the video camera shines…capturing special moments so we can re-live them over and over again, even if we weren’t there in the first place. Here is a GEM and very appropriate for 12 years and one day after B.I.G. perished…

  • Heard & Not Seen

Well known designer/illustrator Damien Correll has been compiling a number of mixtapes under the title Heard & Not Seen. Just last week I listened through each mix without once wanting to reach for the next track click (and I’ve often got a case of the ADD while listening to music). Good news for you, it…

  • My Favorite Nun! Sister Corita Kent

Aaron Rose (Beautiful Losers fame) screened a short documentary film “Become a Microscope: 90 Statements on Sister Corita” last month at Cal State Northridge Art Galleries. Sister Corita (1918-1986) was a teacher, political activist and possibly one of the most innovative and unusual pop artists of the 1960’s. I’ve kept Sister Corita’s Art Department Rules…

  • Passion Pit – Sleepyhead (Unofficial Video)

Above is an Unofficial Video for Passion Pit’s ‘Sleepyhead‘ single. Like the Familjen video I posted a while back, this clip does a great job of using vintage/archived film clips to create something new and original. There is something foreign about some of these clips that feels odd and relevant at the same time.

  • Creatures!

It has been a long time coming but I finally finished up the You Can Be A Wesley music video for their upcoming single “Creatures”. You can see the brand new video at YouCanBeAWesley.com or in my Portfolio section! Thanks in advance for checking it out!

  • Her Morning Elegance

My buddy Jerry sent me this video the other day. There is a good chance you may have seen it before and by the number of YouTube views this video has I’m most definitely late on this…But this video is beautifully done and it most definitely makes you want to get out of bed and…

  • New Surf Film Project!

I’m excited to be working on a new surf film, shot 100% in 16mm by my great friend Kyle Pahlow. Our working title as of now is “Pleasant Surprises” and the film should see the light of day sometime in the next 4 months or so…Here are two frame grabs!

  • Whoa Cool! GE!

The GE Smart Grid has a cool website up with a pretty nifty interactive hologram experience. The overall experience is pleasant enough that I even learned a thing or two! The graphics are well designed & the models interpreting otherwise meaningless numbers are nicely rendered & remind me a bit of Josh Keyes’ paintings!

  • Sheet Rock…

What I meant to say was Shit Rock…or something along those lines. Garage Rock maybe? Either way I’ve discovered and rediscovered some noisy grainy rock this past week…somewhat appropriate for the week? First, The Soft Pack is fun! I saw them last week in Philly with a couple dozen people…and I liked it! Below is…

  • Film Ain’t Dead!

I just picked up about 14 rolls of film that I shot on my backpacking adventure through Australia, New Zealand & Samoa. I’ve posted some of the better shots in three separate galleries in the Portfolio section of the site! If you’d like to see them all you can visit my FLICKR! Despite all the…
