  • Fresh perspectives always welcome

Branislav Kropilak’s photographs of billboards are stunning, obvious and abstract. Kropilak has managed to take one of the ugliest fixtures in the modern world and make it desirable and mysterious. His photographs of trains are also beautiful and make me wonder why the heck I’ve never seen such cool trains! via todayandtomorrow

  • B.I.G.R.I.P.

Via RCRDLBL.com – This is when the video camera shines…capturing special moments so we can re-live them over and over again, even if we weren’t there in the first place. Here is a GEM and very appropriate for 12 years and one day after B.I.G. perished…

  • My Favorite Nun! Sister Corita Kent

Aaron Rose (Beautiful Losers fame) screened a short documentary film “Become a Microscope: 90 Statements on Sister Corita” last month at Cal State Northridge Art Galleries. Sister Corita (1918-1986) was a teacher, political activist and possibly one of the most innovative and unusual pop artists of the 1960’s. I’ve kept Sister Corita’s Art Department Rules […]

The graphics are well designed & the models interpreting otherwise meaningless numbers are nicely rendered & remind me a bit of Josh Keyes’ paintings!

  • The Other Side…of the Pacific

Just last week I returned from 5 weeks of traveling around Australia, New Zealand & Samoa. During my time there I would occasionally snap a video clip with my snap shot camera in hopes of cutting together a little short clip…well here it is! But first, here are my thoughts… Traveling is something I’ve had […]

  • Paperboys

A couple days ago I stumbled upon a blog-post that made chills run down my spine. A liberal prank group, The Yes Men, created a fake (but very real looking) version of the New York Times dated July 4th, 2009 & distributed them across the region for free. The peoples reactions are priceless and the […]

  • The Art of Looking Sideways

Alan Fletcher’s book The Art of Looking Sideways has long been my favorite book and a never-ending source of inspiration. I was just looking for a few Alan Fletcher images online and stumbled upon this video of him speaking about The Art of Looking Sideways…Everything he says about the book I find to be true… […]
