My buddy Ty Williams has recently put together a little brand called Yacht Club. His first offering of tees looks pretty spot on for summer time and with a little Urban Outfitters deal it looks like Ty is on his way to selling some cotton! I had the privilege of doing some art direction / web development for the yacht club site…Have a look and pick up a tee. Visit HeyYacht.com

On April 23, 2010 Shepard Fairey and his crew covered the side of Awesome Dudes Printing (South Philadelphia) with the iconic images of Fairey’s OBEY campaign. Shepard is out east for a few weeks with his crew, preparing for his May 1st show at Deitch Projects in New York City.
Music by Las Flores Project…Also Thanks to Bill McRight & Pete Herron.
If you’re into looking spiffy make sure to keep your eyes on Baron Wells and the style masters behind the brand…They’ll be releasing select styles on Gilt Man this upcoming week so don’t miss the boat. “All Aboard!”

My great friends, Boston band You Can Be A Wesley, are hitting the road at the end of the month. I just put this flyer together for their tour, which you’ll be able to buy in screen-printed form at their shows. Hope you can make it out…I promise you won’t regret it!
A quick note about a shirt I designed / illustrated about a year back…The Mellocat was seeked out by Urban Outfitters and is now available in an exclusive Sunshine Yellow online and at select retail locations. I’d be honored if you hunted down a shirt for yourself before the limited batch is all gone! Thanks for all of your support.

I’m very pleased to announce the soft launch of a web revamp over at jettylife.com! Please take a look at the new site and explore a bit. We’ll be adding content and more over the next couple of weeks. Shout out to HAVEBOARD for some advanced coding work. Now through March 31st get 40% off all gear online when you enter the discount code ‘repeat’ – Have fun kids…
You Can Be A Wesley will be playing at the Khyber on January 9th at 9PM Sharp! (They open so dont be late!) – I threw together the poster above to promote the show a bit around town

Stumbled upon this old file and was really into the image (minus the type which I’ve removed) – I can’t remember what, if anything, this was suppose to be, but it reminds me of a fox!
Last January I began working on a surf film with a good friend of mine Kyle Pahlow…Nearly an entire year later we are finally happy to announce the film is now available on DVD! It has been a ton of hard work and an amazing experience…I hope you’ll find the time to check out the film’s website and learn a bit more about A Pleasant Surprise
A Pleasant Surprise is a 16mm surf film that I’ve been working on since this past January! I can’t believe it has been almost a years worth of work. The DVD has finally gone to press and I can’t wait to see the finished product…It will be a great relief to know that the movie is finally finished. Below is an image from when the film was tentatively named Pleasant Surprises…It was one of the first graphic treatments I experimented with…Keep your eyes peeled for the DVD out soon. Check apleasantsurprisefilm.com for more info!

For a while there I wasn’t sure when I’d get things figured out! Between work and play I couldn’t seem to find the time to tackle my malware infected wordpress installation and square away some server issues…until now! So welcome back…I’m looking forward to continue sharing with everyone! Not only is the blog back working (although a bit of a re-design is in store) but I’ve also launched nickzegel.com which, for the time being, is going to act as my portfolio site! Please have a look nickzegel.com
