Camping is always an adventure. The last time I went camping was with three fine friends of mine. It was a joyous alternative Spring Break! Nature walks, Firewood collecting, Lost car keys, Below freezing temperatures (whiskey), Grilling, and a STORM! All these memories were triggered when I walked past some miniature tent displays at Target this evening! I’ve seen these mini-tents before but I really was getting into them tonight. I wanted to take them all home and play! They also had mini sleeping bags!

The past few days I’ve been crushing my brain for ideas and inspiration while working on the Jetty Winter 2008 Inspiration. While searching endlessly for images to match the vision in my head I came across two very cool things. The first is a website called FFFFOUND! Its still in Beta testing but it is a source of endless visual inspiration! You could spend hours upon hours clicking through amazing images. If you are a user you can mark which images you like best and then receive recommendations based on your taste and interests.
Speaking of inspiration, this is a fun little widget that The Directors Bureau created. You get some pretty funny randomly generated “ideas”. I’m not sure how relevant or helpful they would be but it does have the neat feature of customizing and adding to the words which it yanks from. It would however be fun to illustrate a lot of these three word monsters! Generate Ideas!

Just got home from two weeks on the road. Its great to be able to remove yourself from your normal environment and make things happen. So many great stories! I tried to keep up photo-blogging from my phone so here are some pictures…And oh yes…better photos and a PROPER update are much in order…so i’ll work on that along with a bajillion other little and large projects!
If you keep your eyes and ears opened to contemporary art happenings in this country chances are you’ve heard of Space1026. I’ve known of the collaborative studio/gallery space for some time now and seeing that I’ve lurked just outside of Philly for years there is no reason for me to have never checked it out! Well I noticed that artist Brian Willmont was having a solo show there and made a point of getting over there! I know Brian’s work from Apenest, a rad annual publication which Brian and Cody Hoyt put together…I’d drop some more links and names but I don’t want to go overboard so just check it all out and find some energy and inspiration!

I just stumbled upon this piece which Karmaloop TV did about the Cut&Paste Boston event.
